i was listening to a lot of patsy cline when i wrote the music to this song. the lyric was done and i kept thinking, “i need the melody to soar. i need it to soar like one of those old classic songs”. my upstairs neighbors are two beautifully talented twin sisters called named caitlin and melinda dahl. caitlin directed this video and melinda took most of the shots featured on this site. together they are formidable creative team that artist would be blessed to collaborate with.
Just So You Know
i made this video with my friend cline mayo. it was originally supposed to be an EPK, which stands for electronic press kit. that’s the little piece of footage that is sent around by record companies or anybody really, who is looking to drum up interest in a new project, band, movie, artist etc. well, the magnificent cline pulled in a bunch of favors from a crew of super talented people and we were able to make this video for very little money, in very little time, despite being shut down 6 times by the good people of lancaster, CA. we were a boiling hot but fierce and happy bunch.

I went on stage with the Scrantones at a concert with cast members from NBC’s THE OFFICE. As I sang “My Heart Belongs to Stanley”, referring to a character on the show, he suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
